Sideview Mirror Cover Removal

Just bought a 2000 Intrigue GX after a long search for a good value.
The sideview mirror covers are black and I would like to paint them the same color as rest of car. I was thinking of removing the covers and painting them off the car. There are (2) Torx screws on the bottom of the mirror assembly.
My question is: does removing these screws allow me to take off the mirror cover assembly so that I can paint it off the car?
I want to avoid having to remove the door panels for access.

Nope, The mirrors are powered which means wires and they plug in behind the panel. Cannot remember how far down maybe at least 6 inchs. The two exterior screws hold the mirror guts inside the shell. The mirror is held on to the door by three 10mm nuts behind the tweeter cover.

(pfofit) thanks for the reply. I was worried that this was the case and if I removed the (2) Torx screws that things would fall apart inside making it necessary for me to remove the entire assembly from the door.
Looks like l should just paint the cover on the car and mask off the rest of the area to shield from the paint overspray.
