Hello everyone:
Finally finished this one up during the Easter holiday. For this build, I used the Renaissance tarmac transkit and 1995 Rally Catalunya decal sets, plus some of the decals from Shunko models.
The transkit isn’t too difficult to work with, as I only made some small adjustments (such as bending the suspension arms) and the transkit parts fit into place nicely. Highly recommended for those interested in building a tarmac-spec Impreza. WIP thread can be found here (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=1049481).
Under natural light. Doesn’t really show the purplish hue of the color too well IMO.

You made a fantastic job of that model, it looks great..!!! I have been inspired by your build enough so to purchase the tarmac trans kit and decals myself. So I'll be having a go at it in the near future...
Thanks for posting yours, it was a real pleasure to see it come together. So what do you plan to build next..??

Excellent result. The Renaissance transkit gives a nice tarmac-stance to the model. Congrats.

Thank you for the comments guys!
stevenoble: This transkit is much easier to work with than Renaissance's older transkits, and really looks the part. My next project is the Hasegawa / Tamiya Evo IV posted earlier as I stopped working on that to finish up the Impreza. Still a long way to go
Vladamor: Hey how are you doing? Yeah it's finally done. Oh btw beware of the suspension parts of the transkit when you work on it as they can be fragile :iceslolan
potsie: Yup the transkit really gives the model the appropriate stance without much modifications!

Hi there!
Hey good advice, but I'm afraid that the kit and the transkit are nearly impossible to find nowadays... But maybe a lucky day...
I hope that the pics of the magazine helps you for your next build, and I'm shaking to take a look, he he...

Even if this is a bit too thickly clear coated to my taste (making decals edges more visible) this is a great looking car and build, a great addition in any rally collection !!
Nice to see a tarmac specification Impreza Gr.A :)

The Hasegawa kit pops up fairly regularly on eBay and as far as I am aware the Renaissance transkit is still available as well...
