Made a quick trip down and back, 800 miles, with approx. 660 of it freeway at 70 mph. Overall gas mileage was approx. 15.6, about 16.8-9 on the freeway. It's just about what the book says it will get, though I doubt that's rated at 70 mph.

2005 LT AWD 5.3L. Just me and the missus, a few days of clothing, and her dialysis machine and fluids. Maybe 800-850 lbs total.
My '96 K1500LT gets juust under 15 on the hiway at 70 or 75 with a full load of grandkids and stuff. Not much difference really, except the '96 seems to have way more power when I need to pass.
