Revell Audi R8...

I'm fairly new to this site and build mostly 1/72 scale aircraft. But I needed a change of pace, so to speak.

I've always like the R8 and there are so many great builds here that it motivated me to go out and buy one. My build came out ok but not nearly as good as the others. The kit is built out of the box. The interior and engine were hand painted while the body was sprayed with Tamiya light gun metal. Did not paint the wings behind the door; don't really care for the look myself. I did modify the front suspension to drop it slightly and give it a more aggressive look. The stock height was too high for my liking.

Overall, a fun build. Especcailly for not being an airplane!!!

Nice color and clean work! Were you going for a satin finish?

Nice build.
OT. One of my favorite movies. There's a garage kit of the 'spinner' but in an odd scale.

Thanks.

I originally used a gloss clear but it was too shiny for my liking. I hit it with some semi-gloss to cut down the high sheen. Guess I'm kind of weird; I don't really care for the super high shine....

Real nice build, like the color, the matching side blades, and especially the dropped stance. It looks great...

Very nice build, and excellent work lowering the ride height.
It does really add to the agressive look of the car.

I had to butcher up the wheels to get the look I was after but it was worth it...
