ok last time when i worked on my waterpump and timming belt i noticed oil inside spark plug 2 (from drivers side) had oil in it. i said o well and bought all new gaskets for everything. recently i looked in there and with teh spark plug in place their was still oil in there. i cleaned that out before as well. why now, 3 months later, ihave oil in there again? anything else causing it?

thanks

did you replace the rubber seals on the bottom side of the valve cover? There is 1 for each plug

yea valve cover is tight with new bushings. spark plugs wires are great. plug is tight. weird huh.

How about this, the spark plug tubes are made in 2 pieces with a seal in the middle. Thats the only thing left, that would let oil in your tubes. To replace theses seals you must remove the rocker assembly.

well last week i cleaned out oil out of there again, and today i was going to take it off and i see there is no fluid in my hole. so i said forget it. next time it happends im putting some rtv sealent on there, the haynes manual says so, i just never have.

so i guess the problem is fine for now. next time, next time.
