close up of the front GTR painted sign... man that took a while
Hey guys.. well im almost in completetion of my R33 skyline GTR... here is the the lastest photo of my work =D.
Interior painted from callings in instructions
Paint is Nissan midnight purple (LP2)
Exhuast change from a R34 kit, to a larger exhaust
Gold and titainium paint for bolts and nuts
The window trims have been painted
headlight have been set in
fog lights installed
grill (top and bottom with mesh) black FMIC
the painted GTR sign (with a tooth pick)
disk brakes painted and callipers to factory standards
Windows set in
still needs to be done...
windshield wipers
back signal pannels (still researching) it should not be orange?
rear view mirror
OK so now a few question... tamiya leaves the rims as is.. chrome.. but I know they are not chrome... but what color have people used on the rims?
Have anyone built the Fujimi 1/12 R32 Nismo 1991 before? or any of the big scale skylines? Please provide information, because I think I will be getting it soon.
thanks for stopping by

Thanks guys,
its always nice to get warm praises from fellow modelers. Well the GTR is actually a model i nthe first page, I took my S40 digital camera and then I went outside to my nearest street, and then set down the car and started taking pictures.
As for progress, thanks, I will post some pictures of the interior and chassis and all that good stuff for you, as this model is comming to and end soon, I will have made plans to redo a R32 and R34, I have all these models before, but I built them, but was not happy, so now im doing the ultimate collection of my GTR's (my favorite cars) Im doing all the cars in their true colors, meaning I need to goto the Auto Body shop to get the right paint from Nissan and then spray with air brush, and then two part automotive primer.
Veyron, I got another set of GTR wheels, I will try the TS-17, thanks, I hope it will turn out well.
But as of today, I will prime the back center piece, the (skyline) clear piece with the turn signals and everything and get ready to paint that too so I can tack it on. And hopefully but the windsheild wipers
Its good to have time to be back on the fourm again. So busy with school and work, I barely find time to hobby
See ya

I found this a nice to take a picture because it can show the difference in the paint scheme and its fits the color nicely with the white table background.

A really close up picture of the back, just want to show you all the painted GTR sign.
http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/393640GTR003.jpg
I like this end picture, its nice because it shows the detail with the exhaust, and the back all put together, notice that I havn't put in the center piece yet.
http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/490051GTR004.jpg
Interior was pretty much togther, but I will clean it up more, and touch of some parts and sand and then clean out... but so far its to my expectations.
http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/835791GTR005.jpg
This is the chassis, pretty much speaks for itself, its called out colors from the instructions... same as the interior, all colors are stock, only thing modified is the exhasut pipe, I had to use the R33 cat and piping, but use the tip of a Vspec II R34 extra part exhaust tip... I had to sand down the nipples from the drum to accommadate the exhaust tip from the R34.
So other than that, I will post more later on, but yep this is my lil baby car =D I think its the second one I've seen on this fourm with the purple paint... the first one was also mine =P... but that didn't turn out well... so now i did a new one. but the ones from tamiya looks good...
btw, I painted the rims with TS-17... good thing I had some left over... =D
