Alright here's the deal.........i got a 98 rodeo and the rear wiper wasn't working, now with much research i ended up here and found this thread on the intermittent wiper issue. Following the instructions i was able to get it working again and i had thought that all was well but after a week or so one morning i turned on the washer and the wiper just wouldn't turn off, anyway it did so until the "ACM" eventually burnt out..........smoke and all. I was fortunate enough to find another one but off of a slightly newer model i think its a 2000, i put the new one in but as soon as i did this my horn would go off until i took it back out.
I thought that there was some resetting that i would have to do seeing as how i was introducing a new device to the vehicle so i found out that maybe resetting the "ECM"would help but to be honest i was much to chicken to do that.........i didn't know what to expect.........
i eventually got the courage to pull out the fuse but had noticed that there was fuse labeled "ABS" which is the same label on the "ACM". I pulled this out and placed it back now the horn wont work.........
is there anything I'm missing, perhaps a step that i may have missed? Please please please any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
