Revell Ferrari 599 GTB

Hello folks,
After finishing Ferrari California and 458 projects, I jumped into another Ferrari project; Revell's Ferrari 599.
Unlike the latest Revell's kit, this kit is pretty challenging for many areas.
It has horribly simplified engine details and the wheel & tires are just awful!!
Honestly, I relied greatly on the WIP of Entau and Amago although I didn't go that extreme.

first, I replaced manifolder duct with 2mm solder.
http://i895.photobucket.com/albums/ac160/cjmin75/Ferrari%20599/WIP/IMGP1985.jpg?t=1301960351 (javascript:void(0);)
then made throttle valve parts with several sizes of aluminum tubes.

other miscellaneous parts.

... and some wiring works

completion of engine

I used HD's PE parts and SMS's CF decal for the interior details.

I skipped to use CF decal for the seats as I was running out of CF decal

Body works!

It seems like the gap between the body and bonnet is too wide.

Shameful... really... dude be proud of your work, its amazinly good!!! That intake is breathtakingly beautiful!!!
Are you going to use the terrible factory wheels? (I suggest HD GTO wheels...) & what colour where you thinking?
Cant wait to see more!

OK, scratch my question on colour, your post just loaded before I finished typing mine! Love the colour!

I gotta say, the engine, interior and body are anything but shameful. Beautifully done so far!

Very inspiring work indeed, I have 3 Fujimi kits and a Revell (that I think I will only combine them) and I am kinda looking forward to finding time and start!
Keep going and update your posts soon!

The "throttle valve parts " are works of art and really lend to the realism of this engine. As impressed with the engine as I was, the following pictures of the interior really blew me away. And then seeing the painted body, wow. You sure have skills, fantastic work you are doing here.

The first word that came to mind is "crisp". That engine work is supert. How did you get the Ferrari script and the silver stripes to look so good? This really makes me want to make this kit but I generally steer away from Revell kits
