I dont think that you are a customer of Paul?
If you are one of his customers who had payed him 1,2 or 3 years ago your money, you know how hard is is to interact with him.
When you write something about him the forum,he is quickley there and tell you a good "hollywood story" what happend to your order. He swears that your order will be made soon and your order is the next who will be shipped.
But thats all till you made the next attempt to interact with him.
He talk about new stuff that he will do,but a lot of customers wait more that one year without any sign of progress.
He got that complicated situation since a couple of years, and he do nothing to complete the open orders. The worst thing is that he is still ofer new stuff, instead of making the old ones to an end.
Thats not the thing how a buisness man should do his stuff!
I hope you can understand what i mean?My english is a bit "simple"

I still believe that there is no advantage in banning him from the forums.

I still believe that there is no advantage in banning him from the forums.
The advantage is:
We won't have to listen to his sob stories anymore, he can concentrate on getting the parts that people have already paid him for completed and shipped.
I still think he has no intention of getting anybody anything.
Maybe he will prove me wrong.

From a purely practical point of view, I don't see the point of banning someone. I have about 10 valid email accounts with various names and domains. Signing up for a site multiple times is a pretty easy thing to do.

I would for sure ban him from your site and remove all his banners...he can af course post whatever he wants under another name but the moment any kind of
advertisement of his products shows up I would delete the thread.

Over the past 5 years, I've had about 5 orders with Thunder Valley. Only 1 has caused the headache. While the FW-14 kit was late, it did arrive. The other 3 orders were received in good time.
Currently there are people who reported receiving their orders, so it sounds like if he has it available, you'll get it, but we don't know what is currently in stock, nor do we know if the website is up to date on availablility which makes me nervous about placing any orders even if an item is listed as being in stock. For example, I'd like to get the Honda wheels, but I'm going to wait on that.
I also know people did receive the Ferrari 641 kits, so again, we see there was some production. Not enough to satisfy the full orders, but there appears to be some work going on.
At this point, it is unclear what is going on in terms of production. We've all seen the delivery updates on the TV website, and know those dates for delivery are long past. Most of us are aware of the postings regarding the Ducatti. This recent event changes how I'll do business with Thunder Valley going forward.
I won't be placing any more orders until the existing one is fullfilled, and if it is fullfilled, then any orders after that will have to be delivered when payment is received. If in 55 days, the order has not been received, I will put the amount in dispute with my credit card company. I've done it before with other companies, and it is an excellent tool for getting the agreed upon goods. I would recommend anyone do that anytime they have an outstanding invoice. Visa is very helpful when they stand to lose money.
As my order amount is small, I don't expect to take further action. Just talking to a lawyer would cost me more than my outstanding order. I figure Paul is going to have to get stuff out there as he can't be getting any orders coming in. If he can't get product out, economics says TV will disappear. I'm certainly not rooting for that resolution as that means my order is gone for good.

There are tools available to you and others, that can keep all but the extremely determined troll from getting back into a website\forum.
You can ban by IP, domain, email address, etc....hell you can turn off registration completely and approve each individual request, I've done that before, and it's not as hard as it sounds, especially for a site like F1M where there isn't really that much traffic or members.
Your site wasn't the only one I modded on, and I ban users all the time on the other with no ill effects....they make half-hearted attempts, but soon give up.
It's a shame you decided to take the action you did, but hey, you're the boss.
I tried to warn you...

Thank you ebay and paypal! You always got my back.
Thank you AF, I won't order from TVF1! (until he gets his shit up to ebay/paypal standards, if it ever happens)

Yes. (Well, if you mean this latest episode, no. It was last summer, still when there was plenty of discontent with TVF1.)
I think with him it's a bit of the squeaky wheel got oiled in this case. I stayed on him pretty hard (emails, phone calls) but it took several months to almost a year to get what I had ordered.

TVF1 positively gushes over how Life Cycles "...are still bending over backwards to work with [him]..." All of this sounds so familiar; looks like he's got Life Cycles duped also. Not to mention, his language on the diavel site now sounds as if it's tuned for further manipulation of his disgruntled customers who (as TVF1 knows) are now sure to check out his shennanigans on aforesaid site. Glad to see that TVF1 as time to vomit on the diavel site (given the fact that he supposedly has dropped everything else -- including responding to emails -- in order to focus on order backlogs).

Altered his user name? Since -- even in the face of more than a few livid customers over a period of years -- TVF1 has brazened it out with hollow promises, time-buying tactics, and now the silent treatment, I shouldn't expect him to practice a little introspection and feel enough shame to hide by changing his diavel user name (which apparently continues to be Atom Ant; an unfortunate choice, but, for some obscure reason, fitting). Apart from that, his latest diavel upchucking indicates that, but for a bike, he would have been away on an extended road trip with his "best buddies". It's obvious as to how he's got his priorities sorted out. I have the feeling that he'd be just as happy if we all died or just fell off the map. He's already got our gas money; what use are we to him beyond that.

Incorrect. F1M is still up and running, and has never gone away. TV was involved in some unplesentness om F1M, and any mention there of TV causes a S storm of unhappy "customers", not unlike this thread. The envirorment at F1M is hostile tword TV, and I doubt he will ever post there again.
I doubt we will ever hear from him again. I imagine he keeps his website up as the unaware may still send him money thinking they will receive product.

My story is probably not unlike many. After payment of close to 300AUD back in 2009 I'm still awaiting delivery of goods. To be frank I have not had a reply to correspondence for over 14 months. Trustingly paid with paypal. If anyone is seriously considering legal activities as to recover monies please let me know as I'd be willing to contribute. Although it will cost me more in the long run, I consider it only just that this company (and it's owner) pay their dues.

From what I've been told the only reason a page like this would be near the top of a search for TVF1 is due to the activity here, I.E. the amount of posts. So if we stop posting about this it will soon fall from the top of your google search.

That's not actually true, search engines go by text. Web crawlers see Thunder Valley a thousand times and that is what puts this at the top of the searches. It will be difficult to unseat this thread on a search engine.

nope.
just a regular ol' moderator of AF.
what you are doing is verging on spam and what's worse, verging on obsessive.
Considering that TVF isn't even actually operating currently, it would be safe to say that until they are back in business, there is no need to warn potential future customers/victims of their bad practices as until they are back in business, there won't be any customers/victims.

let's see, artificially maintaining a thread's presence on the front page of AF to further your personal agenda.

anyway, i am not here to argue.
if anyone has anything genuine to add to the thread, so be it.
otherwise, any other posting for the sake of posting will be dealt with accordingly.

but thanks, you are helping keep the thread alive as well, so are you a spammer too? ;)
Wink all you like.
My participation thus far has been to illustrate my personal view of what is going on and how this thread is turning out.
Comparing my posts to yours is typical straw man tactics.
As I said, if anyone has anything genuine to add to the thread, fine, post away.
No way this thread is getting off the front page....
Bump! Enjoy that bike, if you ever get it! ;)
Bump!
Three posts made by you purely to keep the thread artificially alive.
technically, that is against forum guidelines, whether or not the intention is noble.
Yes, if I wanted to, I could simply close the thread but that could create another mod issue and so I've left the thread open for now.

The site is down because I didn't have the money to cover the annual hosting fee. I'll have the site back up as soon as possible and I'll post an update. I am not accepting orders and haven't done so for a very long time. I will however, fulfill my obligations to the customer I do owe product to.
Lump has a personal vendetta against me because I had him removed as a moderator from F1M.com due to his conduct. Additionally, he went to another site, joined with the sole purpose of post inappropriate comments about me. I had him banned from that site as well.
I am monitoring the posts here and I am just waiting for him to write too much and hang himself once again.
He can continue his obsessive vendetta against me, that's fine, but I will prevail in the end.
I am not going to get into a verbal karate match with him or anyone else. I simply don't have the time and I'm not going to waste my energy on acting as he is. I will never stoop that such a low level of immature behavior.
I can still be reached by e-mail or phone if anyone would like to write for some info or an update.
Regards,
Paul

LMAO....you had me removed?!?! That's false, I was not removed, I quit as mod at F1M.com because the website owner caved to your empty legal threats, and that was something I couldn't accept.
I was also not banned from the Ducati website where you were originally outed bragging about buying a brand new motorcycle when you should be filling orders for PAYING CUSTOMERS...and it wasn't me that discovered this, it was someone else who posted that info here....I went there and signed on to let those poor people over there what a stellar individual you are. BTW, I just checked...my account is STILL VALID over there.
There is NOTHING I would like more than for you to prove me wrong and fulfill all the orders with the money to took from trusting customers.
I used to call you friend... then you stabbed us all in the back with your dishonest business tactics, and offer nothing by empty platitudes when confronted.
I don't know how you can sleep at night with all the people you screwed over. :screwy:

Kevin, You were removed, the is no question about it. I made no legal threats towards F1M or Eric, but I will remind you that the legal threat was and still is against you. You continue to post your words of hatred and the point will come that I will take action if you do not begin to silence yourself. Eric removed you because of your conduct and because you were the liability to that forum, not me and you continue with that same type of conduct everyone is reading here.

It is clearly evident that is a lie. Everyone here just needs to read everything you've written. Seriously Kevin, do really think everyone here is an idiot and can't see you for the type of person you are?
I used to call you friend... then you stabbed us all in the back with your dishonest business tactics, and offer nothing by empty platitudes when confronted.
I have committed no dishonest business practices, but I have encountered serious business and financial problems. Neither did I offer "empty platitudes", I have been very honest and open about everything, be it good or bad. However, it isn't for you to judge because you are neither a customer or a friend and I don't answer to you. Interestingly though that here we are 4 months later and you are still obsessed about this and you have no stake in it. Seriously, and with all kindness, you need to seek some professional help.
I don't know how you can sleep at night with all the people you screwed over.
I haven't screwed anyone. I've just had some very serious financial troubles, but I will overcome them and I will take care of all my customers.

LOL...You are either delusional or the world's largest hypocrite....
It is not me that has not been able to deliver product to PAYING customers.
It is not me that outed you on the Ducati forum.
It is not me that have strung PAYING customers along with empty promises of getting them product, and then offering up excuse after excuse as to why you haven't.
You wrote me time and again and asked, no begged me, to take your side over at F1M.com when thread after thread was started asking why people weren't getting what they paid you for, and stupidly I did, and for that I feel horrible and apologize to anyone who tried to tell me the kind of person you are. It's going to be very difficult to trust people again thanks to what you have done. Great job.

I never begged you for anything. That statement is truly delusional on your part.
and...
YES, no one wants to hear your advice.
Sincerely Kevin, call a psychiatrist and get some professional help.
I hope you can get over whatever is bothering you and move on.
Get Well,

Instead of wasting time here, you should be hard at work making the product you offered for sale on your website and people paid you for to produce. All you have to do is fulfill your current orders, that so far, some for YEARS, you have not.
Why can't you do that? Just give people what they paid you for in good faith. That is all anyone is asking. So far you have failed miserably to do that.

Kevin, Please read my post above. No one wants to hear from you. You provide nothing that is of benefit.
I haven't posted anything in 4 months, so there is no validity about me wasting my time.
You truly are a pathetic and angry person. I truly pity you. Get some help.
The only one's who have anything to comment on are my customers, and, the only one's who need to hear anything from me are my customers.
You are doing the same thing here that you have done at other website...making a bigger mess. You are like a bull in a china shop, nothing good ever comes from it.
This thread would be of considerable value to those I am obligated to if you simply go away.
Kevin, you have no stake it this other than you need someone in your life to vent your anger at over Lord knows what is bothering you. From many of the post I have read in this thread it's pretty clear that you need to seek professional help.
Jack, It's nice to hear form you. Please send me a note of I can answer something for you.
All the best Kevin, I hope you can get some help and get well.
Sincerely,
Paul

PS: Having you removed from mod duties from F1m has been one thing that Paul Ratering did right lately, that place can now breath, finally.

Hi Christian,
Thank you for your comments.
I am working and I am doing my best to correct the problems as fast as possible. Some of it simply will not be possible until I can correct the cash flow. Accepting no new orders only prolongs this.
I am not starting any war with Kevin. I am letting everyone know that I have not disappeared and I am doing my best. Kevin provides no value added input to this conversation whatsoever or any other conversation. It's the same as when he spouted off on F1M. He is delusional of his own importance and seems to feel he is the internet police. If he wants to post something that is positive and of benefit then great but otherwise he is only dumping fuel on a fire by the tanker load.
There is no place for him here in this conversation.
Best Regards,
Paul

You are talking Apples and Oranges...you work for an established company that fixes cars...if you screw up, you get fired. If you own your own business, people will go to the Ferrari, BMW, or Mercedes dealer in the next town.
I hope you service cars better than you spell Internet. :iceslolan
Raterink has taken people's money and in some cases provided nothing to these paying customers....if you took people's money and provided no service, you would be unemployed very quickly. What's so hard to understand?

PS: Having you removed from mod duties from F1m has been one thing that Paul Ratering did right lately, that place can now breath, finally.
Once again, Raterink had nothing to do with my leaving F1M....the webmaster turned off all access, wimped out when Raterink threatened him with a slander suit(which had no basis and still doesn't), and that's when I got disgusted and left F1M. End of story.
All Raterkink has to do is deliver all product that he has been paid for, and I'll not type another word...until then people need to know about this, so no one else loses their hard earned money.
