98skylark cooling and heater problems

I am working on a skylark .put a new thermostat in it and it is still overheating plus the heater wont work . I flushed out the radiator and heater core. Has anyone had anything like this happen and what did you do to fix it????

what engine do you have??
you said still overheats,are we losing coolant??are the cooling fans working??
need some info on where/what happened
