All you know the quake Japan suffered on March 11st and the dramatic consequences. Of course HpbbyLink Japan, one of the larger Internet mail-order business, have received the hit too. They worked very hard during two days ( and I guess still are doing it) to get the warehouse in good order to be able to attend the customers as they deserve. All us know this.
What is terrific about these guys is the fact that, in spite of all this mess, they went on sending samples for free to our contributors…….. amazing guys and amazing HobbyLink Japan.

Can't recover for free and not selling stuff is not making any money. Just better scan your shipments with a Geiger counter before you open it!
I honestly hope and pray that the people of Japan make a quick recovery and that those families of the thousands of missing and deceased find peace and the ability to move on.

Sounds like you're repeating a false rumor. According to local and regional authorities at Japan there is no danger of radiation in the HobbyLink area.
Additionally, all their stock is inside their closed warehouse, is then shipped in closed trucks to the airport, where it is handled indoors and loaded onto aircraft for shipping. All these processes take place in closed areas, further decreasing any risk (of which there is none anyway).
If you have some concern please should contact to the HLJ customer service or to be well informed in first place.
Most, if not all, the kits you consume come from Japan and this way to alarm modelers looks like an irrational fear or a wrong intentionality.

Despite of the disaster, i still order from HLJ. Not because i have to, but because they have a great customer service and are in my opinion the biggest online store you could find. If there was some danger of radiation. They would certainly close the store and let us know by mail or there website. That is just my point of view.

I don't think I take anything in life seriously. It just isn't fun. Without fun, what's life worth?

I think that if the packages were in any way affected by radiation, it would be flagged at the airports already and they would not allow the package through customs.
