Can someone give me an idea of where the Knock Sensor is located on my 95 Blazer 4x4 V6 W in the Vin? Parts store told me it is on the passenger side, most likely underneath. I took off the plate and have been searching for it on top and bottom but am not sure where it is. I have also read that there may be 2 for my truck? Thanks.

There should be two.
They are on the side of the cylinder heads.
right one little towards front of head.
And left side little toward rear of head.

Why are you looking for them?
Got a bad one or just bad wiring?
Wiring and plugin to them give a lot of problems.
Got any codes no?

Found them both. A little hard to get to but seem to be do-able. From the photos online it looks like just a big socket will take it off. Is that right? or is there a special tool?

The service engine light comes on every now and then but goes off. I have tried to get it scanned but it can't be done on my vehicle - at least through autozone - because of the year and the only place that has done it is a muffler shop that charges $35 each time. The engine has a knock, the emissions are clearly off and it is not the best on gas. Seems like the symptoms of the knock sensor to me.

What was the code no?

Codes do not say replace sensors.

I would test them out before trying to replace them.
With knock sensor problems I usually find more bad wiring or plug ins on them than the sensor being bad.
Get the code and go threw the repair flow chart for the code.
And when scanner is hooked up read out the data in scanner.
Pay close attention to the knock sensor reading.
Let us know what you find there.

well you should be able to get the codes though the key switch
on off on then count the service lite as to one blink 2-3 and so on<<<<<<<<<<<

That may work on crysler but 95 blazer you need a engine capable scanner to get codes or read out data.

jump A and B at connection on off on key read lites....................

Turn ignition switch to OFF position
Locate Data Link Connector (DLC), see image below.
Jumper the A&B terminals(a paper clip or a jumper wire work ok)
Turn Ignition switch to ON position.
Count the flashes on the "CHECK ENGINE" or "SERVICE ENGINE" light.
FLASH, pause, FLASH, FLASH = code 12
NOTE: Some 94 & 95 models do not have the B terminal. In which case a scanner is required.
NOTE: Some 94 & 95 models that DO have the A & B terminals still require a scanner.
All vehicles after 96 are OBDII,and require a scanner to access them.
