This is probably a stupid question, but do the '97 - '03 3800 SII N/A engines have a PCV valve?? If they do, I sure as hell can't find it..

Yes they do. Passenger side of the motor, in the upper intake manifold, near the MAP sensor. I wish I could explain it better. Maybe someone has a picture.

Just like Tim said it's at the passenger side, right under the MAP sensor. Remove it and then turn the casing counterclockwise, take it off and you'll see the valve.

Oscar.

Awesome! Thanks guys!! I definately wasn't expecting it to be there.. I was looking for a vacuum line like the older models.

don't forget to remove the black o-ring from the old PCV valve and reinstall it on the new one or you'll get a vacuum leak that could trigger a check engine light.

here is a picture, same on the plastic intakes. it may take some muscle to get off. lube the new o-ring to make it easier to twist back on.

Is it in the same place for a 2001 GTP?

No, the 2001 GTP will have a cap on top of the supercharger held on by two bolts, towards the drivers side.

Thanks TBlake! I found the PCV valve under the little black steel cap that was closest to the driver side on the supercharger. I changed the valve but I couldn't find the gasket available anywhere on the internet. Even GMpartsdirect doesn't list a gasket for this. I just left the old gasket on there and capped it back up but it was cracked and I know that this can cause an issue if I don't get a new gasket there soon.

Zepol,

that PCV cover gasket is GM part#24503777, and lists for $3.93. Any GM dealer should be able to order it for you.

Zepol.......or use rtv for the gasket. I used the high temp red and worked fine. I took it off and it crumbled, I did not want to wait for it from the dealer.

:runaround: Not one dealer in AZ stocks this gasket. Looks like High Temp RTV it is. :iceslolan

we are talking about an o'ring, go to your local auto parts store
they will be able to match it up.rtv... not a good idea
if you give them the part # they can go from there
Good luck

We are NOT talking about an o-ring. We are talking about a Supercharged Grand Prix that has a plate that covers the PCV which uses a gasket to seal.
