I have a '96 LSS non-SC'ed. the belt broke so I went to replace it and appearently you have to remove that whole mounting bracket thing. Is there an easy way to do this and does someone have steps to do this either way?
thanks guys!

There isn't really an "easy" way to do this, but there is an easier and safe method. The right (front?) engine mount bolts should all be loosened. What I have done is remove them one at a time and lubricated them with anti-seize compound so that they can be spun in and out quickly by hand - The long ones through the frame rail mount can be difficult due to corrosion. Once the bolts are easy to spin in and out you can support the engine at the right end (front of the engine) with a soft wood block and jack. Remove the mount from the engine and slip the old belt out and the new belt in, remembering that only one side of the belt need to pass through the mount. Install the mount to the engine and tighten the bolts, then remove the jack holding the engine up. Finish installation of the belt around the sheaves and the tensioner.

Any idea of the size of the reverse torx socket needed for the lower mount stud?
