Funny, I was thinking the same thing as I read the poll.
I have more respect for bands that can keep things together for a long period of time.
Given the list, I would say "The Who"..... but since I heard all these bands on FM radio way, way way too much as a kid, I really don't enjoy any of their music anymore.

I had to say it. My boyfriend is a diehard fanboy of Rush. One of our first dates was going to see the documentary about Rush. LOL And he's going to their concert in Nashville next month. :runaround:

Reminds me of the movie Fan Boys where they look at his music selection in his old van and it's nothing but Rush tapes.
"Where's the selection?"
"Rush IS selection!"
Anyway, I'd have to say Pink Floyd is my all time favorite. However, Metallica did introduce me to heavier metal. Then again Led Zeppelin got me into older music.
The Beatles have always been a favorite for me AND what they did historically gives them the nod. No other band has changed the face of music like they did. Not to mention all the albums they were able to pump out in a short amount of time and the quality is just awesome. Bands today make you wait several years for a new album. I mean we Sgt. Peppers and then the very next year they turn around and give us the White Album with Abbey Road the next year.
No band will ever be able to do what they did ever again.
