Nissan 300ZX Gauge Cluster?

I see on some Nissan 300ZX's that the instrument cluster has a silver ring around the gauges while others do not. I am interested in getting a 300ZX with the silver ring's around the gauges. Is this a certain model or a mod? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
