1987 mercedes 300e

I just bought a 87 300e with 90,000 miles drove it home everything was fine for 2 weeks when this problem occurred. Starts fine runs good, sometimes when you put it in gear it wants to die, sometimes its fine. Or went to accelerate and there's no power hesitates or dies out, but starts back up fine. I don't just want to start replacing parts do to the high cost, unless I really know what it is. I had to already replace alternator, battery motor mount, and starter. Becoming a money pit, so I want to fix it to sell. Any ideas?? please help.

i would say to service your tranny torque converter may be failing.
