Here it is in its final form. Overall a pleasing first experience with a Fujimi kit. There are a few fit issues with the kit but it works out well, could be a little more detailed on the interior.

Let's hear some opinions on this one!

Very nice looking!
A bit of panel lining should it make look even better.

What did you use for the tinted glass ?

Seems like you paint the windows just plain black ?
Now, I know the Fujimi Interiors are normally really hiddeous!

The panel lines are very deep/wide. When I started doing them they looked very large and completely out of scale to me.

The rear windows and windshield stripe are painted black from the inside to look like the extremely dark "limo" tint on street cars.

Love the color! I think it needs some sort of mild wing or something on the hatch though. other than that it looks very nice.

The kit comes with a wing/spoiler. I just didn't car for the look of it. I've allways liked the hatchback's smooth rounded curve and the spoiler took away from it IMO.

Glad you all like it...I'm pumped up to start something new! :D

Nice! The panel lines are rather heavy as evidenced on mine which has 13 coats of paint, and still plenty of engraving left! A mixture of Tamiya Smoke and Clear, then thinned, makes a nice subtle panel wash. You have a nice, clean style. :)

Thanks for all the comments!

Bigfrit- Not sure what is next, have several I’m considering…may depend on the paint I have on hand. It takes a while for me to get Tamiya paint, I wish I could just run to the local shop and pick up what I needed, but they don’t stock Tamiya!

Veyron- I think I may try to wash the lines, the pen was leaving them way to thick for my likeing.

Thanks again for all the comments.

The kit would look great with a fiber hood, wing and full load of decals, but I was going for a more subtle look.

Ria- I found the pics in your sig. when I was searching the net for reference photos. That is one tough looking hatchback!

It's an older Olympus, the Camedia C-2100 Ultra Zoom. I've had it for about two years and to be honest I'm still learning how to use it. It's a super camera that has been out of production for a while. If you can find one I highly recommend buying it!

Thanks for all the support guys! I've added two more Fujimis to my stack today (thanks VTEC-DA9), maybe one of those will be next to build. Think I'll wait a day before deciding!

Thanks again for all the comments and feedback. Without the knowledge I have gained from this site, I could have never built this kit...just think, a few short months ago I was still glueing my fingers together!!

I just found this thread, and I must say, Wow! I really like it ( if you knew me, you'd know I have a passion for hating all honda's!) there's just something about this civic, it's so clean, no wing, big rims with black rubberbands, just clean, excellent job!
