Adding Remote Starter?

Anyone ever install a bulldog security systems remote starter on a 2005 Mountaineer? Or really any aftermarket remote starter system?

I have a friend that wants me to install one in hers and I was hoping to find out any specific problems/instructions for the install.

I do them on the side- main thing to worry about is obtaining the proper anti-theft bypass module that fits your vehicle. Your Mountainer is a transponder system (radio frequency transmitter in the head of the key) so you'll need to decide how you want to bypass that.

I'd buy an IB-F3 module (online $42) as opposed to losing a key - by putting one in a box under the dash

Other than that, it looks to be a fairly simple system to install on...Be sure and test all wires before you solder!
