Transaxle mount

I have a 2001 Taurus and the transaxle mount that is visible throough the drivers side front tire looks offset so I assume it's bad and needs to be replaced. The Haynes manual says that for 200 and later models you have to drop the engine and tranny to replace.:banghead: Can anyone confirm this:confused:
