as soon as I turn the key- the pop/clunk /knock sound comes- mostly continuous, comes from the rear passenger side
sound continues when the engine is started- continues when driven- not very loud but is noticeable
any ideas??

Welcome to the forum. It's virtually impossible for us to diagnose noises over cyber space.
My suggestion is to get under it and pin point the source of the noise and post back with your findings.

if you have the AIR RIDE GM suspension this may be the air compressor. this can be costly to repair . most disable this and install regular shocks if possible .remove fuse for this air pump see if it stops noise. if so go to a repair shop that can bypass this and make a cheaper repair..dealership can cost over a thousand to fix..post back how it is..
the air shocks fail at this age. compressor is most likely shot. not designed for much work load after warr period ends..
