Old face's are good!

My EF9 got destroyed several years ago, and was replaced with a GF who drove an EF6.
Not nearly as quick as the EF9, but still fun to drive.
I then got a very rare BA Prelude INX, which was an ex panel beaters car and only had a limited life.
That was replaced by a CE1 US Accord Wagon. It's big, fat and slow but sometimes remembers that it's a Honda and not a big fat yank tank.
My better half has since moved onto a NZ New Accord sedan, same year as mine. It know it's a Honda as it was assembled here with better suspension and a different engine map.

Would love an EF9 again, they do show up every now and then for sale, but sadly most have been trashed by boy racers.

I still hate you :icon16:

I have an 89 Civic Si I've had a good 13+ yrs. It's had a sohc vtec y8 to air cylinders to it's current ITR b18c5. It's all motor + I/h/e. It <3 it's all motor glory...LSD tranny, kicks vtec at 5800rpm, makes power to 9000rpm, & can break 'em loose from a dead stop in 2nd gear...grunt, grunt, grunt \m/

my other 4g is a cool story...it's GTA's car! His step-mom was original owner. He was 2nd owner. I am 3rd. I recently flipped it to 300,000mi. It has a sohc vtec z6 & couldn't update his registration in Cali. Add a busted tranny & no tire kickers would offer him a fair price. He called me & said you tow it back, it's yours. Put my old Si tranny in & now he drives it when he comes to OR to visit or I go down to cali

Still have my 91 Civic DX that I have had 10+ yrs. Its been out to Oregon and out to North Carolina where I'm currently at. It has put up with my rice and audio phases, had a glass pack, fart can, uniwiper, etc., on it. Its been through 3 motors: the stock D15b2, and on its 2nd B18A1. I'm not gentle on the car because everytime I'm nice to it, something breaks. Interior now only consists of a racing seat, a stock STD seat, gauge panel, HVAC system and a radio.

I have better plans for it, just gotta get a garage I can work on it in and go back to Arkansas and pick up my 87 CRX Si that I know nothing about other than it supposedly runs good and needs a new windshield and back glass.

As said in Amys post, my 4g now resides with her :D During its life span with me I also had a 95 sonoma pickup and a 97 civic hx. Truck was stock, HX I had slammed with an exhaust and an intake and that was it (40mpg regually ftw). Once my g/f at the time (now my wife :D ) accidently backed into it, I ended up using some money to get my current ride. My 06 Scion xB. stock when I got it, now bagged and little things done here and there, but it's on it second makeover now as at once point I had lots of carbon fiber parts such as door panels, hood, spoiler, etc.

day I brang it home

They seem to have really taken off in the US.
Not so much here though, unless your female and Chinese.....
Or gay.

Of course given what we have to choose from, most people would rather a VTi or SiR Civic, or GSR Lancer, or GT Famila, etc etc etc

Still got my 91 HB with a boosted DOHC ZC with 190whp. Also a 98 HB boosted Y8 200 whp. Just picked a 00 Blazer with full intake, exhaust, pullies, chipped and 31" tires. Also got a 90 4dr with a blow head gasket for free :D

Boo! Everyone awake?

Well I know some of you heard about my hatch getting rear ended last month and it was considered a total loss. I had to fight with them on how much the car was worth, which their first offer was $850 with a $100 buy back. I managed to get them up to $1225 with the same buy back, which after they added taxes and tag and everything to it, I still walked away with a $1216 check and my car. I still drive the car for now, just replaced a bunch of gaskets to stop the oil leaks so I don't have to worry about it giving out on me or leaving oil spots in the drive way while I have my new project in the garage. And I will be fixing the hatch after I get the new car going.

Pics of the damage:

Now the new car: Picked it up from a guy at work that I trust. Its an 85 Mazda Rx7 GSL-SE(wish it was atleast a 86, but hey it was cheap), which does have a Fuel injected 13b, bigger brakes, 4 wheel discs, all the power goodies and a Limited slip...and the accord bolt pattern instead of the civic pattern like the rest of the Rx7s of that body style. Car only has 112k miles on it, but has probably been sitting since 2001, with it still atleast being started every once in awhile. Currently it will fire up, but wont stay running, so I have a project ahead of me. Picked it up for $800.

so i never actually posted my life story since i basically stopped visiting AF a few years ago. Anyway during the process of converting my uber-automatic b16a crx to a manual, the shop i was working with basically screwed me over and i sold them the car to pay for the cost of storage and repairs and such. from there, i inherited my grandmas 1990 oldsmobile cutlass supreme. honestly i loved that car, it had a big v6, ran like a champ and had great handling, naturally i beat the heck out of it as a delivery driver for dominoes, including but not limited to driving over peoples lawns, and down a flight of stairs. She sold that car and we got a 2003 Accord which i drove for quite some time. I then acquired a 2007 honda civic that i had put lots of time and money into, mostly cosmetic but it looked good but was slow as mollasses, no it wasnt an SI. anyway, i had lost my job and my license was suspended for child support non-payments and the car was repo'd. i currently am using the ol' foot power to get around town and the local bus service, however my friend is selling me her 1995 saturn sc2 (coupe) on tuesday, so finally i will be back into the 21st century.

Damn Scott, that is quite a sad story.
I remember you asking about converting your car from Auto to manual.
I'm sure we could even find some of those old threads.

Woah! Since everyone else has their story ...

So, lets see when last posted on AF like 5+ years ago, i think i had just got my Civic Coupe. That car served me well for 5 years and finally traded it in after going to one of the Scion events with GTA. Got myself a 2011 xB in Sizzling Crimson. Now i am sure LadyNRedSI and GTA could both find threads about me asking questions about parts and mods for the civic but i have real plans for the B.

still living in new orleans, even though Katrina tried to wash us away.

lost my incucivic in the storm, 3 days before it was going to the paint booth. we had just finished the prelude taillight conversion and the entire sideskirt/doorcap setup was molded, with shaved roof lines and antenna. the b16a, full DA teg suspension, and black leather/red suede interior was ruined as well. it sat underwater for days, and then i couldnt get to it for another 3ish weeks because my part of town was completely closed off by the national guard.

after that i just couldnt look at an EF the same way. that was my 6th one, and it was too heartbreaking to even consider buying another one. since then i owned a 95 delsol with tons of CF (wrecked after flying debris from a katrina demolition truck nearly hit me), a 94 civic EX coupe with b16a and tons of suspension mods (still own it, for sale) and a 92 NSX (still own it, never for sale.

time heals wounds. yesterday i bought a silver 88 DX hatchback with an almost flawless body and working A/C. its an automatic and someone tried to rig some accord seats in it, but im already scouring the internet for parts because the bug bit me again. new carpet is ordered, and im about to pull the trigger on a set of black ITR front and rear seats for it. then im going to do a CRX SiR front end conversion, an SiR rear bumper, and throw my SiR spoiler on it since thats the only thing i kept from the old flooded car. im going to try to stick with the stock engine, but i know me, and itll end up with a b16a in it eventually.

I still have my 4g4d - had it since Oct 99. It's been off the road for about a year, pulling her into the shop in a month or so to finish the tear down and rebuild. All new paint, suspension, bushings and high compression motor for autox. Interior is going back to stock except the racing seats and 4 points.

Since then I've picked up a 90 RT4WD bone stock for $400. Had a bad head (no biggie). It's currently my daily driver. I'm running a d16a6 with p29 pistons so around the 12:1 compression range, lots more torque than before. I use it to haul my little 8x6 trailer around and towing cars and stuff.

I also picked up a 99 CBR 600F4 that I've had to do some work on (previous owner laid it down), but it's my commuter for right now until the weather gets cold.
