Diesel 6.0 versus 6.4

I need another (used) trailer hauler/work truck. 120,000 km or less. I would prefer older with low miles to keep the price down. Is there a significant advantage to the 6.4 and if there is, should I steer clear of that first year 2008? I've read the 6.0 versus 7.3 thread and, while interesting, is not really applicable. Thanks.

Depends on how much you want to spend. 6.0 trucks can be found cheaper, but its kinda two dif. animals, 6.4s are common rail injection, no more injector problems hardly, Cp4 driven and not HPOP. Dif. power-bands, 6.0 loves high end, 6.4s pull best at lower rpm. You can still find 6.4 trucks with warranty.

my opinion is i owne a 7.3 but 6.4 are very temprmental and have had there troubles with trans and injection system the 6.0 also has there faults it sound to me you realy dont want to spend alot of $ on the truck stay clear of 6.0 that have programs or mods to them they are the more reliably 6.0 and they get better gas milage than the 6.4 there both good motor but they only ran the 6.4 very short time whats that tell you about the 6.4

Thanks for the info (I have now come to understand much more about the two engines). I aquired a 6.0 with 70,000km. Purchased based mostly on fuel savings v/s 6.4, assuming both left stock.
