Here's a 350Z Enthusiast with just Kick Plates and Mats
MSRP: $29, 105 INVOICE: $26, 898
Not that you would have a snowballs chance in hell to buy one for invoice but it's nice to know what the dealers profit is.
These little ICBMS are money makers for Nissan stores but you can get $1,000 off MSRP on them in SoCal if you call around and talk only to the fleet and sales managers. (screw the salesmen they can't do shit on price )and tell them you're ready to buy now and leave your phone number.
This approach works if your patient and willing to wait until one of these guys gives in. They do need to sell these things!

highway 51 is half right, in that dealers are not selling them for invoice and you can get about grand off msrp. but as far as dealers needing to get rid of them he could not be more wrong. it is best selling sports car in country. My dealership sells them as fast as we get them and we sell most for $200 off msrp. And as far as just calling a sales mananger and saying forget the sales person well go ahead and try it most manangers will laugh at you and call you a prick and never call you back.

good luck finding a car if you need any help let me know i would be happy to help you. by the way you should think about getting a enth. not base model. for extra money it is worth it. If nothing else for limited slip, that makes all the difference in a sports car.

My dealership is discounting them $500 off MSRP. Most Nissan dealerships don't have Fleet managers and is ask for a Sales manager they will usually just put you with a sales person.
Nissan has already reached their salse goal for the year and is cutting back production of the Z. When the roadster becomes available in July it will further reduce the availibility of coupes by 25%.
I would think that a Manager that considered a customer a prick fro trying to go around the normal sales process is a fool but they would normally give your name and number to a sales person to follow up on. Dealers are interested in selling these vehicle but there is little incentive to give them away.
