Looking at some dodge durangos 2004 limited with the Hemi engines. Not to Keene on that. Trying to fine one with the 4.7 engines to keep the maintenance down.
Would this be a good move. I have a 2002 jeep grand cherokee limited with 85k miles. It's kinda small and rides pretty hard/rough. Getting tired of the ride. So looking at the Durango's say the 2004 and up to 2007 something I can afford.
I have taken a few for a ride a 2004 slt 4.7 with 71k miles absolute mint condition with leather and dvd and some other features but no all $17k
Also a 2004 Hemi with 73k miles full loaded with dvd and all the features that come with the limited but not the gps set up who cares. $11499 both drove great.
I did notice one thing both had the dvd and Infinity sound system but no place for a ipod or some other music input. Question is there some way through the dvd system on the Durangos to have a ipod input for other source of music besides the cd.
Both came with the wireless head sets and remote for the dvd

The Durango is a great vehicle if you like or need, room, power, and the ability to travel in all weather conditions.
The 04's had some engine issues early on with the Hemi, but it is a great motor and will make the D's 5100 pounds get up and go.
The 4.7 is also a great engine, and if you don't need the extra 100 hp of the Hemi for towing, consider going that route and you will pick up an mpg or 2 here and there.
I had an 01 D, and sold it in a moment of brain fart. A year after driving a sedan, I sold that and bought my current 04 Hemi.
Although the prices were back on the way up when I bought mine last March, I think you can do better than that. Especially if fuel goes back up like it did back in late 08 and through 09. Mine is a pretty loaded SLT with Hemi, leather, sun roof, DVD system etc. I got it for a little under 14k out the door with 53k miles.
