I've been leaking power steering fluid from the rack boots, so I know I need to change the rack.
I see quite a wide range in prices for remanufactured racks ranging from about $170 (Maval) to 200 (ACDelco) plus core. The highest was from GMPartsdistributor.com at $435 (remanufactured).
I know from experience that it is sometimes worth paying through the nose for stuff because the cheaper prices mean lower quality remanufacturing or products. What is the best rack to go for? Keep in mind this is a daily driver for my wife, so I'm not interested in racing performance, just a good quality product that won't leak or fail in a years time.
Just so everyone knows, I will be changing the outer tie rods and will flush the steering pump as well.

Just get a rack with a life time warranty; it's like buying insurance. They are betting that you will never need it, and you are saying maybe I will, if I keep the car long enough!
