yes, i have a question maybe someone can help. yes, i keep hearing a thump noise when i press on the brakes on the front driver side. I put new pads and brake disc on and still making noise. i was trying to take out rubber bushings in brake caliper mount .but was unsucessful. is there a trick in replacing these? also could it be the caliper is bad, that is making these thumping noise

I don't think this is the brake if you got everything put back on correctly. I suspect that you have an issue either with the tire or the front control arm bushings. I would pull the wheel and see if there is any movement in the components. I would also check the tie rod ends and the struts.

thanks for the help, i replaced the strut on passenger side, a few months ago,do you think not replacing both of them would cause the noise when i press brakes. the noise only happens when at low speeds, not at high speeds?
thanks
thanks

thumping noise...is it a rotational thump, thump, thump or just one time when applying brake??was the steering/suspension checked as suggested??

yes, thank you for the reply. it is a one time thump when i hit the brakes, most of time at low speeds!

It could be a bad tie-rod end link. Jack the front end up and grab the wheel at the 9 and 3 positions and try to turn it with the steering wheel locked. If there is any play in the link, it should be replaced.

i replaced the tie rod a few months ago, so i quess i can eliminate that. im going to put a new strut on the 97 gp maybe that will help!
