Electric window problems

I found this old thread with problems someone had with their window. It's the exact same problem I am having but the guy that posted it never posted back what the problem or fix was. Here's the problem. Anyone ever run into this?

Checked the switch and wires and they check out good. Now the window will move up and down except that there is a "click" when it is moving now. There are three "clicks" when going up and when going down. Also when it clicks going up I have to lift the window with my hand to keep it going or else it will stop. Like I have to unload the motor to keep it going. I feels like a tooth is missing in gear. Also, when it hits full up it will contiue to try and lift the window and it click/grind in place if I don't let go of the switch in time.

this is the plastic gears. you need a new unit. since these are broken I would say this was damaged by vandals .

replace the complete regulator.

Changed the motor out and it took care of the problem. Regulator was fine....no vandalism.

forgot to ask what year / body style was this window motor for ?

I got the regulators with motors included for the 2000 and 2002 new body style silverado. no motors only a couple years ago.
