brake problems

Hi while driving my 2003 gmc serria 4x4 my dic displayed service brake booster. I need to know what this is an how hard is this to fix. So anyone out there with some information on this problem would be greatly appreciated.My brakes are good right now, But is this vehicle safe to drive until I can figure out this problem and have it fixed.
