I have a remote for keyless entry for a 2007 HHR which I no longer have can I program it to work on my 2005 Envoy? what is the procedure?

unsure if it is compatible. Are the part numbers on the back of the fob the same?
To my knowledge, almost all gm products of that vintage need a tech 2 scan-tool to register fobs to a vehicle.

Definately not interchangeable between the HHR and Envoy.
Completely different remote types & systems.
