ok my new project, (see attatchment) is either coloring or shading, i havnt yet decided.
What i want to know is how much a good set of markers will run me, the kind that dont overlap like the cheap crayola washable ones.. or should i use pencil crayons... i doubt i will be doing shading because i still dont have any of the tools.

so what do you think?

Jeff, the pencil shading looks really good, I am not bsing you. I really can't think of anything to say to improve that car.

For coloring. I would go to the art store and pick out two colors that are close in tone. They will run 3.50 or so a piece for Prisma color. You might want a couple of light grays and light blue for the head lights. You need a color pastel to go with your marker selection also.

You can get some nice pens from Staedtler (misspell) at Staples or Officemax. They come in like 4 or 5 in a set with various size tips.
Mine say Pigment Liner on the case and range from 01-07 tips.

You can also get India ink and a pen with various tips. The kind you dip into ink. It has been like 10 years since I worked with those. I recall they worked really well. That stuff is cheap too. You need to get that at your local art store most likely

Again great job on the shading esp. with out stumps.
