I'm considering buying an 06 or up Miata, need advice.

Before I get too committed to this car does anyone have anything bad to say about this era Miata? Looks and drives great, but I'm no mechainic so I'd like to know what I may be up against. How's it compare to previous body style?

Get what instead for same money (including maintenance costs)?
