96 F-150 skipping

Yes my 5.8l (351W) has a skip or miss when under light acceleration. It will jerk and you can feel the vibration when you are applying light pressure to the gas pedal when vehicle is in motion. If accelerating hard it doesn't miss or skip. I'm not sure if it is something to do with ignition system or if fuel pump is going out (fuel pump is original from factory and truck has 249,000 miles on it)

The fuel pump would dump out more when you requested more fuel from it, as in if the pedal is further down....
Sounds like a faulty injector or two. If they are a little stopped up they will have bad spray patterns under light fueling and open up enough to be ok under heavy throttle.
Don't even waste your money on the 2 or 3 dollar bottles at wal mart. 99 times out of 100 that crap does nothing!
