I have a prob and need some help. My 93 325is on acceleration seems to speed up then slow down then speed up then slow down, on and on without me ever releasing the gas pedal. This problem has been there since I had it and I had the exact same problem with my 86 E30. Help me please its driving me crazy.

i dont have this problem with my E30. . .but

i did have this problem with my old '78 Cadillac Fleeetwood Brougham. the think had over 500k miles on it and could not longer go above 50mph when i got rid of it, i figured it was because it was so worn out that the combusion chambers could not maintian adequete compression at those engine speeds, thus it would rev high and low, but that was just my theory, so i am not sure that is right.

i was just glad to get rid of that thing and get my E30! :)

Might want to take a look at the fuel pressure regulator. Take a close look at the vacuum hose to the regulator as well.
