The rear brake pads in my 2000 Acura TL is approaching minimum. The rotors are still in good shape and with specs. Are the ceramic pads sold in auto parts store such as Pep Boys, Autozone or O'Reilly meet or exceed OEM?

Don't buy bogus pads like Duralast from Autozone. Getting something of a "known" brand. We have good luck with Raybestos pads & Napa Ultra Premium pads. Check with your local dealer that pads aren't really to expensive and good.
I can't remember if you car has calipers that need to have the piston rotated back in, so be ready for that. If it has a piston with a + grooves then it needs to be screwed back in. If it's a hollow circle then it just squeezes in.
Don't forget to clean the caliper brackets and lube the pads & slides.
