Make sure the fuel filter is not restricted, then check fuel pressure and leakdown. Key ON, engine OFF, fuel pump running: Pressure must be 58psi to 64psi and must remain above 53psi for 3 to 5 minutes after the fuel pump shuts off.

Depends on year model. Mine is a 92 W engine, its fuel pressure is 55 to 60, yet later models are a bit higher.

Hmmm mine was a 94 approximately 58-64psi for 1995 ; at idle pressure should drop 3-10psi for a CMFI vin"W" engine . I was off a bit hehe. make sure you get the cpu diagnostic im no mechanic but I believe this might be a MAF,MAP or o2 sensor problem as symptoms such as those stated have been commonly produced by such sensors... is your SES light on?
