"1980" Camaro Z28

Here's a few of a model I recently finished. It is of my brother in law's 1980 Camaro Z28, which he is restoring (still WIP, lol). Kit is Revell's 1979 Camaro. I converted it from a T-top and tried to change the hood scoop and side vents to resemble the 1980 style...

...and a couple of the real thing...(he has since changed the heater hoses to red ones, which is why they are red on the model)

Nice work! It looks like you did a really good job on those side vents. How did you do them?

I just carefully filled them all in with putty, except for the first opening and sanded them smooth. Did the same with the hood scoop and the T-top seams. Also, the headers and heater hoses are made from solder...

Thanks!! The pictures don't show off the paint very well, but it's a pearl white. Since I don't have an airbrush for doing custom colors, I put the pearl on dry and clear coated over it. Here's the whole album which show more in progress pics...
