We are going to change the spark plugs and wireset and I would like the experts recommendations on which brands (e.g. ACDelco, Autolite, etc.) and type (e.g. platinum, iridium, etc.) are best.

Stay with an original equipment quality wire. I used NAPA Belden wires each time. For the plugs I use whichever AC Delco spark plug is recommended in the parts book.

I put a set of Champion 3013 (single platinum) in my '95 LeSabre when it had about 124K on it. I was thinking about using AC-Delco but I wanted to use an American-made plug instead.

I also installed a set of moderately priced Wells-Conrad 8mm silicone resistance wires on it (just like OEM wires) at the time. It now has a little over 173K on it. I'll let you know how long the plugs and wires last when they fail about four years from now, or at about 225K. .
