Ok I am looking to get my first bike and need advice. These are the bikes I am looking at getting Triumph Daytona 600, Yamaha YZF-R6, or YZF-R1. I don’t really know a lot about bikes im still learning. I don’t know how to ride and a lot of people are telling me to get a dirt bike to start, but I really don’t want to get one. Would the bikes I am interested in be good for a beginner, and any other advice you have.

The best possible way to answer your question:
"Would the bikes I am interested in be good for a beginner"
is, FUCK NO.

Listen to people, they are trying to not get you killed like your ego is. I have a R1, and owned a R6 as well, neither are acceptable bikes to learn on. Read some of the other threads where other people asked the same question.

Start small. If you do this RIGHT, you'll be around a LONG time to work up to more displacement.

The bikes you listed... Think about it again in about 2 years, if not MORE. What "looks cool" is not matters... the fact that your skin will still be on your body instead of some pavement because you learned on a smaller bike will "look cool" in due time.
