Best bet here is to look at the various auto magazine reviews for both cars, google volt vs prius, lots of info out there.

prius has been around for many years..I know of an owner that drives 100 miles each day on hwy to work. 50 mpg. good reliability...

vehicle before this was ford 150 ...he is very happy with the extra money in his wallet !

as with most GM vehicles or microsoft operating software , best wait till the dust settles..then get reviews...
