Audi Quattro 555 (Hong Kong Beijing Rally 1985)

Hi again guys,

As I promised before, I will return with new builds in 2011. Well, here's the first one, an Audi Quattro Rally from tamiya. At first , I was gonna built it white just like what shown in the box, then a "decals disaster" occurred, the decals didn't react well with the clearcoat.

So I decided to go other way and paint the model yellow with blue and gold stripes to resemble the Audi Quattro team 555 in Hong Kong Beijing Rally 1985.

The blue and gold stripes were spray painted, and I used microsoft paint to made the 555 decals and I also added seat belts from Hobby Design.

The wheels are from Tamiya ford escort rally

Nice colour scheme!

Looks nice, but those car had absolutely different wheels and they were blue. And different sticker on the windshield - '555' instead of 'Audi quattro' also it was number 1 not 9. And it had additional pipe bumper in the front/ So pay more attention to details ;)

Yeah.....the number 1 was driven by hannu mikola, meanwhile this one was driven by stuart pegg and andy dawson. I couldnt find a five spoke rally wheels to resemble the real one , so I tried to make do with whatever else. Thanks for you input by the way....

Oh, I see. You know I'm still really amazed with the amount of kits You've completed this year.

Looks really good, one thing you can try practicing with is different settings on your camera.
