importing from Canada into America?

Alright, you may know that I was the high bidder on an 89 Si on ebay. I didnt think about it but I dont know how to get it into the US. I talked to a guy who specializes in importing Cars from Canada to America and he said the best he can do is $400. I guess I cant just tow it accross the border cuz its a Canadian car. I have to call Honda to make sure that it complies with American Laws and stuff. Can someone post up that thing about showing what country the car was made in by reading the VIN Number. I didnt know that Canada made the Si model, I thought it was called something different. Also, does anyone have any ideas on how to get it over for cheap? I even thought of replacing the Vin plates with my american DX. I wanna try to make it as legal as I can though so help me out please.

Its got a blown head gasket. Is it still driveable? I was thinking as long as i take a bunch of water and oil with me I might be fine. Anyone agree?
