I just got my tires rotated on my 01 Explorer Sport for the first time since I bought it. It has 35,000 miles on it. Anyways, when they pulled the wheels off they showed me that the inside of the front tires had been rubbing. Moderatly deep grooves on the inside of the rims. They were rubbing on the calipers. They had rubbed enough that it cleared a groove to prevent noise. Now that the tires are rotated I have awfull grinding noise in the front passenger wheel. I was just wondering if anyone else had ever had this problem or ever heard of it before. I am going to Ford dealership at 7:30 in the morning to get it looked at before warranty runs out. It is factory 15" rims with factory tires still on them. I bought it used with 29,800 miles on it with no noise. Apparently whomever had it before drove it untill the noise stops. I'll update tomorrow sometime and let everyone know what they say.
