2000 galant no heat

i have a 2000 galant car runs great but i have no heat. ive heard there is a valve on the heat shut off valve that defaults to the cold mode. when i took everything apart i cant see this valve. does the 2000 have this shut off valve or is this on later models, any idea why im not getting any heat:confused:

Did you ever get your problem resolved? I've got the same thing going on with my '02 Galant.
