Intake Problems

Hi everybody Im neew to the forum and Ive already got alot form reading previous posts but i have a question? I did a custom intake on my 97 firebird. The problem is that the service engne light came on agfter i did installed it. there is a wire that connects to the stock intake but i dont know how o attach it to mine. So now the wire is detached. Im sure thats problem but any suggestions on how to fix my probelm??? Thanks ahead of time

Read your instruction manual again? I dont think they would leave out instructions, and if they did, well, they suck.

they dont say anything about that sensor. do you think i would have to reset my computer to get the SES light to turn off?

From 1996 and up those vehicle are obd11 and will need a scanner to pull out the codes. That will give you a very good clue at to where you missed a wire or plug in. Good Luck.

another quick question are firebirds known to have very restrictive stock intakes. Because from the look of it, it looks pretty restrictive. Any thoughts on this??
