This is an Old....I mean Old Heller kit... and it was hell!! er....... :) The fit leaves little to be desired... lots of sink holes, mold nubs, and poor fitting overall.... However I saw potential in it and hopefully brought it out in the final outcome....
Paint is Scalefinishes Ferrari Rossa Corsa and Dupont clear... The decals were in rough shape but I got them to work. The biggest nightmare was the headers..... getting them to fit I think aged me 10 years! I added plug wires and some Transmission cooler lines but that was pretty much it. The rear bonnett is ill fitting but I will most likely display the car with it open... I had to make new headlight covers since I discovered they were missing from the kit when I got it. They came out OK. All in all a challenging kit and looks pretty good altogether.
Thanks for looking.

It was worth the effort because the completed result looks fantastic and it is a great car! I was tempted to get the recent Fujimi re-release but it seems expensive for an old Heller kit especially considering the problems that you have highlighted!

Seems that one can make a silk purse from a sow's ear after all.... ;)
Very nice result.
Don't know why but the I like the wheels the most LOL They have photographed very well IMO. Are the wheel nuts just the kit parts painted?

Superb job on the old (Hell)er kit buddy lol You have captured the machine well. The Heller kit is a bit of a struggle but like many of their other kits, it is a jolly good likeness of the original.
I remember building this back in the days when I used to use dental floss for plug wires!
I bought the Fujimi re-release but they haven't improved it much. The tyres are slightly better material but still the two piece type. Decals should be an improvement as well.
It will be interesting to see if Fujimi re-release any other old Heller kits as they have some pearls in the back catalogue.
Regards, Steve.

Looks very similar to the one that Nikki Lauda drove in the 70's well done.
