Blair faces war crimes suit

I think its absurd they want to bring a suit against Blair because they weren't able to stop the war. Screw them. If someone should bring a suit against him it should be someone English sorry but it feels like an invasion from foreign interests. Funny choice of words those.

I actually don't like Blair i think he's a fool and I'll be happy when he gets voted out but i will be seriously annoyed should the Conservatives gain power because the leader of the conservatives is rude and antagonistic. In much respects he's worse than Bush by far.

When did Greece become involved in the matter of the Iraq war? That's one of the stupidest things Ive read in a while, they're sueing because something they couldnt control happened. Give me a break:rolleyes:

We've already had a link about a similar case being laid agaist key American military personnel under Belgian law. If this was a fair and just war,as some believe,then there should be no problem for the accused to successfully defend their actions.Somehow,however,I don't expect to see any of them fronting up at court.

Given this kind of stupidity. I guess I could sue Canada for sucking up water out of Lake Superior which lowered Lake Michigan by a quarter inch :rolleyes: Its the litigious left being even more out of control. :rolleyes:

Belgium has some B.S. Law that allows foreign nationals to be tried for War Crimes, even though it didnt involve them directly.

Subsequentley, Palestinians are suing Ariel Sharon for war crimes...whether he is a war criminal is debateable(IMHO no, but hes pretty shady...) but it begs the question. How far can you go before invading someones soverignty

Are the standings of the parties in England(conservative/free enterprise, liberal/socialist) the same as they are in America? I would see Blair as a liberal. His supporting of Bush was not a political decision, but a decison based on his best judgement. He is a liberal in my eyes most of the time.

Actually, Tony Blair is of the Labour Party.....you may want to update yourself on world politics so as you understand the politics of other countries before you try to discuss their policies and decisions.

The british Labour party has its roots firmly in the trade union movement,and its founding principles are those of socialism.It has drifted more towards the centre of centre-left over the past twenty years,but it remains the only credible alternative to the Republican-style Conservative party,whose manifesto seems to be every man for himself,and screw the poor.

I'd disagree.My viewpoint is that Major was just the only silly pillock who wanted to climb onto the dead horse after Thatcher had run the Conservative party into the ground in pursuit of her fascist policies.Tony Blair got to be Prime Minister only because the public hated their government with a passion.Blair saw this and re-positioned the labour party more in the centre ground that had previously been occupied by the more intelligent Conservative administrations.
Traditionally,Labour had been painted as loopy left-wing extremists, seems to me that thesedays it's the Conservatives who are perceived as totalitarians.

You have a valid point there.....Major was a silly pillock....and Thatcher still had too much influence even after she stepped down....and she did do irrepairable damage....

We need another Lord Sutch in British politics to bring the fun back :silly:
