Trunk pull down faluire

Tonight i stopped to help jump start a guys car and i popped my trunk to grab my cables, after his car started i went to put my cables back and close the trunk and the pull down motor wouldnt work at all. any thoughts? could have shorted a fuse or was the jump start of no consequence?
