Does anyone have a preference for some club colours? Once we get a consensus we can start playing around with some logo styles and a distinctive theme for the website (look around at some other cool site designs and post the links here and we'll see if we can copy it to a degree). Hmmm, guess we also need to suss the name out before I play round with logos...
Ummm, okay, some suggestions (crap ones) just to get the brainstorming sessions going... Hmmm, brainstorming, idea generation tends to work better when you're in a group and mildly drunk (...from my product development experience) don't suppose a few of us can get together? Anyways:

Performance Primeras
Primera Perfection
NZ Primetime

ermmm, well it's a start

AWD Primera

I like PRIME - EVIL but then we would be stealing Warrens slogan and his logo!

As for colours. How about try to stick to the touring car theme as it is well recognised.

Oh and i think it should be open to all owners not just a focus on Performance. There should however be a strong influence on performence driven cars, but not exclude anyone.

Just a silly idea for the club. APC-Aotearoa Primera Club, or something anyway. (Yes i'm a Mäori :D :D :D :D ) Hehehehe!!!

I certainly agree with that. Chances are that the people who are passionate enough about Primera's to join a club will want perfomance info. So basically I'm just repeating your point I guess, focus on performance, but don't exclude anyone.

Perhaps Prime-evil is a tad intimidating? Could perhaps put a few people off. We need something more general, unless we want to target that kind of market...

11-07-2001, 09:23 PM
Just a thought,
does the clud only include Primera's or all sr20de powered vehicles, and who does this exclude then?
I'm asking cause i seen these young guy's today, three car loads, one was a Primera, the other a SSS pulsar and the other a Pulsar Gti. If the two sr20de guys wanted to join does this then exclude their friend in a Pulsar Gti. This could be a problem cause they all may not join cause ther friend can't.

Just a thought though.

I would have to agree, although i do like PRIME-EVIL, i think it more suits a car, not a club. I think something more general but not boring!

I can see a small fee for the use of *PRIME-EVIL* coming up !!!!

The club should be for Primera's only....not cars with that type of engine in them. I'm sure there are plenty of Primeras that will give us the numbers we would need.

May be Prime-Evil isnt such a good idea.

I agree. There are heaps of Primeras around. We would have enough numbers. The problem is where to stop. We could end up like Nizan which is meant to be a drift club for RWD Nissans. But some of my friends have joined in FWD Lancers and WRXS. How the hell you are meant to do any decent drifting in a 4wd is beyond me!

What about PRIME (or what ever) The exclusive Primera club.

I believe in keeping it simple. New Zealand Primera Car Club says it all. It's no-nonsense, to the point, and sponsors will be more comfortable placing something like that on the counter or in the shop window. It'll be easy to find using search engines and is not going to leave any room for people to pre-judge the way any of the evil themes will - first impressions count. Leave the word plays up to the individuals.

My 2c.

That point is worth a little more than 2c. :)

However, New Zealand Primera Club does sound a little boring, I'd like to see something a little more catchy that doesn't carry too may strong connatations with it, take Skylines Downunder for example. There's nothing exclusive about it and there's not pre-judging. As for search engine placement, that's all about meta tags, type in "skyline club NZ" to google and the first hit is the Skylines Downunder page, so having a name like Prime Era or something will still work fine. If we do go down the branding avenue then as long as we ensure that the logo has "New Zealand Primera Enthusiasts Club" or something similar clearly on the logo then there shouldn't be any identification issues.

My 1.5c :)

So, have we got any more inspirational names for the club along the lines of Prime-something? Or are we just going to settle for something more along the lines of The New Zealand Nissan Primera Enthusiasts Club?

Personally I still favour having a catchy short name then the club spiel under it... But that's just my opinion, what's everyone elses? Should we get a list of names or options together and set up a pole? Do we want to just for for majority, or the more time consuming consensus approach?
