I just spent about $800 on new Pirelli Scorpions to ride on, and another $700 to replace the missing bracket for the rear trailing arm (and some edjustments to the alignment of the rear housing according to the shop)...and I still have a shaking at 70 and over.
I didn't change the "dead" autoride shocks but the burb actually feels pretty normal until I get to hiway speed. On a concrete stretch of hwy with seams it was much more pronounced. On the smooth asphalt I didn't feel nearly as much vibration (if that's what it was). I guess it's possible that if the shocks are bad enough they wouldn't absorb any of the rougher concrete's ridges and dips. But, wouldn't they have to be reeeeealllly bad to be that noticeable.
FYI: I had 3 adults and 3 kids in the car to give it some weight. And, it was tracking straight as far as I can tell.
Do ya think some new HD shocks will make the shake/vibration disappear...or should I check something else first?
